Volunteer Opportunities in Trauma Therapy

Volunteer

Serve On Our IRB

We can always use another volunteer on our Internal Review Board (IRB). The IRB reviews our research proposals to ensure that scientific design and participant protections are adequate. Our research generally focuses on trauma and loss prevention, assessment, training, or treatment, with children, teens, or adults.

The work load is an estimated three to eight hours per reviewed proposal. Most of the work is done by e-mail, on your own time, though web-based video-conference meetings may occasionally be called. IRB members are expected to do at least one review per year, and may do more if asked and available.

IRB members are not required to be research scientists or even mental health professionals, though some knowledge of the relevant issues is helpful. To apply, please e-mail your CV and a brief note specifying your areas of interest (re the types of research we do). Thank you!

Web Domain Valuation

In conjunction with a possible high-value web domain donation, we need professional assistance in valuing the domain for the donor’s tax return. If you’re able to help with this, please let us know.
